Any debt relief program is offered and administered solely by Debt Mediators under their own terms. Please review their agreement carefully and consider all alternatives, including speaking with a nonprofit credit counselor or an attorney.
Before you enroll
- Your credit score may be negatively affected, and late or missed payments may be reported.
- Program fees apply. Ask the partner for a full written fee schedule before enrolling.
- Forgiven debt may be considered taxable income by the IRS.
- Creditors may continue collection activity, add fees or interest, or file lawsuits.
- Not all creditors agree to negotiate, and not all debts are eligible.
- Results are not guaranteed. Individual outcomes vary.
